Hi Barbara,
I hope this postcard finds you well. I'm having such a great time in Gdansk and the old town here is just homely. I can't believe how lucky I am to be able to experience all of this.
I wanted to take a moment to share a funny and memorable experience from my travels. I'm currently on a chair in a local theater, and just attended a concert. It was such a great time, and I couldn't resist the opportunity to write this letter.
I'm sure you'll get a kick out of this story: I was trying to navigate the city using a map, and ended up taking a wrong turn. I found myself in a really sketchy part of town and couldn't find my way back. After wandering around for a while, I finally saw a group of kids playing soccer. I asked them for directions and they were able to point me in the right direction. It was a hilarious and memorable experience, and I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to meet some friendly locals.
I've included a few images on this postcard of some of the places I've visited so far. The Main Town Hall is such an impressive building with a rich history, and the Royal Way is a stunning street lined with colorful buildings and cobblestone streets. St. Mary's Church is also a must-see with its beautiful gothic architecture.
I hope you're doing well and that you're able to enjoy your summer. I miss you and can't wait to see you again soon.
